A clinical study of 308 cases of menopausal syndrome
using Geng Nian An Pian (Menopause BalanZ)
by Ma Xi-wen, Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 2007. 27(10)
From June, 2002 to March, 2005, the author had treated 308
cases of menopause women by using Menopause BalanZ.
Of the 308 patients, 276 cases (89.6%) had hot flashes, 268 cases
(87.01%) had dizziness, 270 cases (97.82%) had insomnia,
242 cases (78.57%) had irritability and 201 cases (65.25%) had
ear ringing.
Instructions: Three times a day, 6 pills a time. No other medicines.
After 1-month treatment, 102 cases (33.11%) were completely
cured, 104 cases (33.77%) were markedly improved, 78 cases
(25.32%) got some results, and 24 cases (7.8%) got no result.
Thus, the efficacy was 92.2%.
No side effects were observed.
Interestingly, he found:
The shorter your menopause has been, the better the efficacy is.
If your menopause is within 6 months, the efficacy is 96.4%.
If your menopause has been 5 to 10 years, the efficacy is 85.71%.
This makes perfect sense: It is harder to awaken a long idled
built-in mechanism.
